Tim is a highly experienced corporate and M&A lawyer. Though born in The Netherlands, he grew up, studied and worked for most of his life from Antwerp, Belgium.

He is particularly well-regarded by Dutch companies and Dutch families operating in Belgium, and is regularly sought out as a trusted advisor for a variety of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, legal due diligence, start-ups, joint ventures, and corporate restructuring. In addition to his legal work, Tim serves as the board secretary for several family offices and organisations in the media, entertainment, and sports industries.

Tim is a published author on topics related to mergers and acquisitions and the Belgian Company Code, and is recognised by legal guides such as the Legal 500 and European Legal Experts as a top lawyer in his field.

He spent more than 31 years at Deloitte, including almost 20 years as a partner at Deloitte Legal Belgium, where he held positions on the Management Committee and served as the Global Talent & Learning leader. Today, he is a senior advisor and faculty lecturer at Deloitte University Europe.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Tim is actively involved in corporate social responsibility and purpose-driven programs, including serving as the Chair of the Board of Time for Society vzw.

Tim is a sports enthusiast with a particular passion for field hockey. He is also a devoted fan of Ajax Amsterdam. He can often be found reading (international) newspapers and enjoying a cup of espresso. Tim also loves to go on city trips and spending time with his family and close friends, particularly when it involves dining out.

He adores his dog, Billie!
